First LISD student groups to compete at Austin Energy Regional Science Festival
A group of 29 elementary students and 11 junior high school students from LISD were the first from the district to ever represent Lockhart at the Austin Energy Regional Science Festival. The event took place last week in Austin.
All students in the elementary division receive a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place ribbon. The students in the junior and senior high division do not receive ribbons.
Lockhart Junior High School’s Presley Perez won the Superintendent’s Award at the event.
LISD is proud of all of the Lions who worked hard on their projects to compete with nearly 3,000 students across the region who participated in the science festival. This is one of the largest regional science fairs in Texas, and we are proud of this group for being the first from Lockhart!
